This policy explains what information hotto.media collects about you, who it goes to, and how to stop it. It covers tracking pixels and advertising tools separately from cookies, because they work differently.
Who we are
Hotto Media is a video production and podcast studio business operated by Hayden Otto as a sole trader.

What we collect
Information you give us
When you book the studio, book a call, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and the details of what you want to book. If you pay online, Stripe collects your payment details. We never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
When you visit hotto.media, analytics and advertising tools record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or ad that sent you here.
Tracking pixels and advertising
We run ads on Facebook and Instagram. To measure whether those ads work, we use the Meta pixel: a small piece of code from Meta that sits on our pages. When you load a page on hotto.media, your browser sends Meta the address of that page, your IP address, and information about your device.
Meta can match that data to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one, and we can use it to show you our ads again later. This happens even though we never learn your name from it. A tracking pixel is not a cookie, and clearing your cookies does not switch it off.
We also use:
- Google Analytics 4, to count visits and see which pages get read.
- Ahrefs Analytics, to track how the site performs in search.
What we do not collect
We do not collect sensitive information through this website. Nothing on hotto.media reveals or hints at your health, race, religion, politics, sexual orientation, or criminal record, and none of our page addresses do either. Booking a podcast studio says nothing about you beyond an interest in recording something.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. hotto.media uses them to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and support the analytics tools above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works if you do, though some parts may be less convenient.
Who your information goes to
| Service | What it does | Where the data goes |
|---|---|---|
| Meta (Facebook, Instagram) | Ad measurement and retargeting | United States, Ireland |
| Google Analytics | Website analytics | United States |
| Google Maps | Map on the contact page | United States |
| Cal.com | Booking calendar | United States |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Australia, United States |
| Ahrefs Analytics | Search performance | Singapore |
| Ghost | Website hosting | Singapore |
Some of these providers are overseas, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We do not sell your information, and we do not give it to anyone else for their own marketing.
How to opt out
- Meta ads: adjust your ad settings at accountscenter.facebook.com/ad_preferences, or disconnect our site under Off-Facebook Activity.
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Everything else: block third-party cookies and scripts in your browser, or use a browser that blocks trackers by default. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to quote on work, confirm bookings, deliver your video or studio session, invoice you, and answer your questions. We use analytics and pixel data to understand which pages and ads bring in enquiries.
We will email you about a job you have booked or asked about. We will not add you to a marketing list without asking first, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and booking records are kept for seven years, which is what Australian tax law requires for business records. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Pixel data is held by Meta under Meta's own retention rules, not ours.
Security
Information you send us is stored in password-protected accounts. Payments are handled by Stripe and never pass through our systems. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep only what we need.
Access, correction and complaints
Email [email protected] to see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
